Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping at Poet Dresses!

All order and shipping communication for your purchase will come through email. If you do not include a valid email address in your order, you will not receive this information, so we highly recommend including one. 

You will receive an email update once you place your order. You will receive another email with your tracking number once your order has shipped. Please allow up to 48 hours for the carrier service to update the tracking information.

Processing and Delivery Times

All orders are processed within 2 business days. Standard shipping typically takes between 2-8 business days for destinations within the United States. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Additionally, nationwide and global shipping delays (such as those caused by holiday volumes or inclement weather) may impact your estimated delivery date.

PREORDER DISCLAIMER: if you place an order that includes preorder items, your order will be delayed until the final preorder item is available to ship. If you would like the in-stock item(s) earlier than that, we recommend placing multiple orders.

Shipping Claims

Once your order has been given to the carrier service, we do not have control over the shipping time. Updates to your shipping time must be handled between the customer and the carrier service. Poet Dresses cannot compensate customers for delayed delivery due to the shipping carrier, as this is outside of our control.

If your order is marked as delivered by the shipping service, but you are not able to find the package, you must contact the shipping service to file a missing package claim. Poet Dresses is not responsible for any mishandling of the package by the carrier service. Shipping disputes must be handled between the customer and the carrier service.

Package Protection

We now offer Package Protection at checkout via Redo. If you choose to include Package Protection in your order, we will guarantee a replacement if your order is lost or damaged in transit. If you did not purchase Package Protection at checkout, we cannot replace items lost or damaged due to shipping. 

In order to utilize Package Protection, you must first file a claim through the shipping carrier and provide proof of a missing or damaged item. 

Package Protection cannot be added to your order retroactively.

Return to Sender

If an order is returned to us as a "Return to Sender" because the customer entered the wrong address, the customer is responsible for paying for a new shipping label before we can resend the package to the corrected address.

International Shipping

Customers outside the USA are responsible for all shipping fees and customs duties. International customers are not eligible for package protection or return insurance.

As a courtesy, we have enabled a setting on our website to allow you to pay an estimated customs duties at checkout. The intention is to make it less of a surprise charge and to hopefully prevent delays in shipping. Please be aware that this is an estimate and may change. We are not responsible for any additional fees that may be incurred by customs duties or import taxes, or for shipping delays due to customs.

International customers are responsible for all shipping charges and customs duties associated with returning or exchanging items
