Hymn Dress in Forest | Green Cotton Dress

So I gave this dress three stars before because of issues with the front placket. Customer service kindly sent me a replacement dress and they made improvements to the front placket (five buttons instead of three, no plastic snaps, sturdier stitching on the self covered buttons, smaller button holes for a more secure fit). I was excited to wear this gorgeous dress, but the zipper was stitched too tight where it went over the waist seam and then the zipper broke, I never even got to wear it. So...the dresses are gorgeous, quality of the fabric is excellent, very flattering fit...BUT serious quality issues. The company is obviously trying to make improvements, but I'm left with two dresses that are not wearable. I've included a picture of the original dress placket so you can compare the older one with the improved newer version. If you decide to buy definitely check the buttons and how well the zipper works before deciding to keep it.

Excuse the mess, but this dress is unbelievable. Im 5 7, 195 pounds, waist is 36 inches. I just put this on out of the bag, and on me the hips are over the widest part so that measurement didn't seem to be needed.

This dress is beautiful, but runs small in the chest. My bust is 39”, waist 30”, hips 45”. I ordered the large according to the size chart, and the waistline was at the middle of my chest and I couldn’t zip up. I exchanged for the xl which fit perfectly in the chest, but the rest was too big. I really love the style of the dress, so it was disappointing.

I purchased this dress last year while pregnant, knowing I would have to wait to wear it. I finally fit in the dress and it is beautiful and overall feels well constructed. I love that the neckline is modest.

However, the button holes for the self-covered buttons are too large, so those are constantly coming undone, the buttons are loose, and today (my third time wearing it) the snaps started falling off. This dress has great potential if they can fix the front placket. I'm trying to decide what to do to make this work because the dress is so comfortable and flattering and I have only worn it three times. Maybe a hidden zipper and faux buttons?

I've been looking at this dress for almost a year. I finally bought it. It is so lovely, beautiful, flattering, makes me feel pretty, and is super high quality. I love the natural fiber, I love the back lacing, the buttons up the front, and the wide waist. Thank you for making modest and beautiful clothing! It helps make me feel lovely and rooted in my worth as a daughter of God.
