Our custom-tailored fabric with intricate golden koi fish detailing is the star of the show for the Haiku dress. Regal and glamorous, this black and gold dress features a pleated overskirt and an extended shoulder line so you can enjoy a sheer sleeve without the standard sleeveless look. You'll love the many ways the removable sash can be styled and the way the button-up feature enables you to show as much neckline as you're in the mood for.

I have had this dress saved for the last year on my Pinterest and finally purchased. It arrived very quickly and is really cute. It is a very lightweight dress and lined, which is perfect for Florida. Black and lightweight can be hard to find so I am excited to wear this out and about.
Haiku Dress NEW & IMPROVED | Black and Gold Dress
I just received this dress, and it's nearly perfect. Kat was wonderful, ensuring I had it in time for the Easter Vigil. I also own the Hymn, and I'm just so impressed with Poet dresses.
I noticed how flattering the Haiku was on multiple models. The same is true for me—it has the perfect balance of structure and flowiness. I ordered a small and medium. The small fits perfectly—if I had chosen the medium, it would've lost that tailored "edge." In the right lighting, the contrast is profound, and it's just amazingly beautiful.
However, I have broad shoulders, and I'm at the upper end of what the shoulder space can accommodate. If you're a gym gal with muscles, you may want to size up simply for the shoulder space. Likewise, if you're busty and you intend to button it up, definitely size up. Otherwise, this dress is true to size.
The only way this dress could be better is if the upper portion had a little stretch—the bottom is already beautiful and flowy. I would buy another one if there were some stretch built in. I'd love some other colors, too, like deep crimson red!
